Did You Know You'll Have to Jump the Curve

Did You Know You'll Have to Jump the Curve

This 5-minute video entitled “Did You Know” has been around in various forms for a few years but it serves as an excellent reminder as to why organizations must learn to “jump the curve;” and why, if you are striving to become an Exponential Executive, you must continually adapt your thinking. As Yogi Berra so famously once said, "The future ain't what it used to be."

An Unlearning Tutorial

An Unlearning Tutorial

Earlier this month, I wrote this post entitled Why Businesses Must Unlearn on my other website: www.unlearning101.com.

Shortly thereafter a reader posed this thoughtful question:

"I like this idea of an organization doing some top-down “unlearning” of bad habits. But what new habits do they develop and put in place—how do you get a seasoned exec that’s devoted to a way of thinking to accept another view?”

It is an excellent question. In short, the questioner was asking: How does a person unlearn? To find out, I invite you to read the entire post: "An Unlearning Tutorial." It is chalk full of examples and advice.

Into the Unknown

Into the Unknown

In 2004, I wrote the book Into the Unknown: Leadership Lessons from Lewis & Clark’s Daring Westward Expedition. One of my favorite stories—because it has so much relevance for the "Exponential Executive"—occurred during the early part of June 1805. To read the full article of Lewis & Clark's extraordinary "Decision at the Marias" click here.
